Sales Manager - Colne

We are currently looking for an experienced Vehicle Sales Manager to join the management team . You will need to thrive in high pressure environments and relish the opportunity to drive a business forward on all counts.

The successful individual will possess a positive, hands on approach, with the ability to lead and motivate a developing sales team. You will be expected to achieve agreed sales targets for new and used cars, within defined operating and financial guidelines.

Role & Responsibilities:

Customer Satisfaction: You will build trust, communicate effectively and exceed our customer’s expectations, In essence you will ensure that our customers buying experience is industry leading. You will also be accountable for handling customer queries and complaints and ensure they are resolved effectively.

Maximising Opportunities: To support the sales team in daily operations including but not limited to customer contact, sales funnel management, deal building and closing, professional vehicle preparation whilst ensuring that stock is kept to the company’s agreed levels.

Maximising Profit: By driving the sales process and supporting the sales team in achieving their monthly KPI’s. Carry out accurate appraisals of all vehicles presented in part-exchange and complete satisfactory negotiations with potential customers to maximise sales. To ensure budgetary sales / profit forecasts are achieved, and monitor departmental performance.

Data Quality and FCA Compliance: Ensure accurate completion of all sales data and provide reports as required on all sales activities ensuring accurate sales forecasts. Making sure that the sales team accurately and vigorously collect all customer contact and vehicle data in order to maximise the quality and content of the customer database (adhering to the Company’s FCA obligations).

The successful applicant will have gained experience in Car Sales and is now looking to Simpsons Group for better rewards and career opportunities. You may currently be a Sales Manager, Sales Controller or Retail Manager looking for a new challenge or your first step into senior management.

Customer Service Appointment Controller

Simpsons SKODA Preston

For this role you will be required to make outbound calls to existing customers, book vehicles in for service, repair and MOT, help manage the appointment diary using RTC Link system and Kerridge,

Duties would also include data management and service prospecting using the Polk system. Experience in the motor trade would be beneficial but is not essential.

Skills and Experience Required

Excellent communication and telephone manner with good listening skills

The ability to appropriately advise on and sell our wide range of products and services

Be able to work on your own initiative and also be a good team player

You must be self-motivated

Have excellent administration skills

Possess a calm and even temperament

Ability to handle pressure without it affecting working relationships and effectiveness.

IT literate with the ability to use systems and processes

Sales Administrator

Preston

A sales administrator is required at our Preston site to handle new retail and fleet sales, ideally with VW Agency experience – though this is not essential. You will be responsible for daily taxing, invoicing, vehicle ordering, and order processing as part of the role.

The ideal candidate will have some motor trade experience and will be able to use CDK systems (although this is not essential).

Personal Requirements

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills are essential and attention to detail will be vital.

Being a good team player will be key in this role as you work closely with our Administration, Accounts and Sales Teams.

This is a Full time position.

Required education: High school or equivalent

Required licence or certification: Full UK Driving Licence

The key responsibilities include the servicing and repairs on new and used vehicles, ensuring the work is completed on time (and within standard times) economically and efficiently. The core skill required is the ability to efficiently diagnose vehicle faults and to continuously improve working methods and standards.

Personal Requirements

This vacancy is for a fully qualified, time-served technician able to play a key role in strengthening the already established, high performance, service team at our SKODA dealership in Colne.

Ideally possessing VW Group experience, you will have a commitment to quality of service and high standards of customer care, a ‘right first time’ attitude and the ability to utilise modern diagnostic techniques and equipment.
