To maintain all vehicle stocks in good condition.

To maintain the forecourt and display areas to required standards.

To receive new and used vehicles into stock.

To move, deliver or collect vehicles as required.

To provide a resource to the Service Department.


To maintain the compound, forecourt, vehicle storage display areas to the required standard.

To ensure incoming vehicles are processed as required to meet the company standard.

To maintain a knowledge of the whereabouts of vehicles.

To ensure the security of all company vehicles on site.

To receive new vehicles from the transportation company and external sources. To inspect vehicles and complete the appropriate documentation, reporting deficiencies and damage to the appropriate departments.

To receive used vehicles from trade in or direct purchase. To inspect the vehicles and complete the appropriate documentation.

To remove radios, service books etc. and store or distribute as required. To apply the correct stickers / key tags etc. and position the vehicles ready for preparation.

To ensure that all vehicles are locked and secure in the compound area or on display and that the keys are stored accordingly.

To present invoices to customers off site and receive payment.

To liaise with Sales and Service Departments with regard to vehicle collection/delivery times and to use all necessary skills and resources to meet deadlines in order to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.

To closely monitor all sub-contracted work for quality. To report to management any discrepancies, shortages or damage to company vehicles caused by sub-contractors. To keep accurate records of all work undertaken by sub-contractors.

To ensure that all vehicle display areas are kept clean and tidy at all times in line with franchising requirements including showroom and used vehicle stock and to ensure that all vehicles within the used vehicle display areas are clean and displayed in a professional manner at all times.

To ensure that all Service Department customer vehicles are returned to the customer in a clean and tidy condition following Service Department work.

To ensure that all demonstrators are kept in a clean and tidy condition.

To source the best cleaning products at competitive prices from approved suppliers.

To use and handle the company fuel cards in line with the company processes and requirements.

Maintain a safe and healthy working environment; ensuring adhere with Health and Safety requirements.

To ensure all company and customer data is dealt with in line with the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

To ensure that confidentiality is maintained.

To follow all Simpsons (Preston) Ltd policies and procedures as per the employee handbook.

To champion the Culture and Values of Simpsons SKODA at all times.

Any other duties commensurate with the position.
