More spacious, more functional, more sustainable: all-new Kodiaq breaks cover

The all-new second generation Škoda Kodiaq had its world premiere last night, featuring a sharp new exterior design with Modern Solid elements, a high-quality interior with thoughtful touches, and a refreshed powertrain range including a PHEV option with up to 62 miles of electric range.

The all-new Kodiaq is expected to open for order in quarter one (Q1) 2024, with first deliveries expected to commence in Q2. Stay updated on Hub for the latest information about the new flagship SUV, including the ordering process.

(Modern) Solid appearance with improved aerodynamics

With a drag coefficient of just cd 0.282, the all-new Kodiaq combines excellent aerodynamic properties for superior efficiency with sharp and attractive Modern Solid design elements.

A sculpted bonnet dominates the front design cues, with a revised Škoda logo that matches the frame of the hexagonal grille – itself able to be illuminated with 14 light elements for a ‘light strip’ effect between the headlights. The roof line has been elongated for aero optimisation and slopes gently towards the rear.

The rear section itself is characterised by a large tailgate for easy access, with a wide, integrated rear diffuser sitting just below adding more design flair.

TOP LED Matrix headlights light the way forward

New crystalline TOP LED Matrix headlights shine bright as one of the all-new Kodiaq’s top features, with the upper Bi-LED module and Matrix module below containing 36 individual light segments that form the characteristic four-eyed look of a Škoda SUV at night. A fine, L-shaped LED strip serves as the daytime running light, parking light and indicator.

Dynamic indicators feature on the optional top version of the tail lights (standard for Sportline). The new, wide C-shaped light signature extends far towards the centre of the tailgate, with a red light bar connecting the two light modules together.

Superior day-to-day spaciousness

The all-new Kodiaq boasts greater spaciousness than its predecessor, with 61 millimetres extra length, 15 millimetres of extra headroom in the third row, and a massive 75 litres of extra boot space in the five-seater version (now 910 litres). The seven-seater impresses equally, with 340 litres of boot space behind the third row – 70 more than before.

With second and third (where applicable) row seats folded, the five- and seven-seat Kodiaqs now have 2,105 and 2,035 litres of boot space respectively.

Smart Dials and smart screens

Below the impressive 13-inch infotainment display featuring the latest software sit Smart Dials, which are an intuitive way of controlling multiple vehicle functions with rewarding physical feedback.

Smart Dials are operated by turning and pressing, with each containing a colour display able to show one of several functions. The two outer Dials for the driver and front passenger control the interior temperature, seat heating and seat ventilation, with each function shown in the display.

Elsewhere, a new 10-inch Virtual Cockpit makes its debut for the Kodiaq, with a head-up display complementing the array of smart screens.

Simply Clever design choices

The all-new Kodiaq adopts the Design Selections seen in the Enyaq family, featuring coordinated colours and materials. Customers can choose from Loft, Lounge and Suite options to specify their ideal car.

Additionally, all chrome detailing in the interior has been replaced with new Unique Dark Chrome (UDC) finish.

Iconic Simply Clever features such as the umbrella and ice scraper make a welcome return, and new features like a display cleaner stored in the centre console and a storage compartment in the central tunnel are revealed for the first time.

Electrifying performance with new powertrain range

A new 204PS plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain sits as the highlight of the all-new Kodiaq’s engine range, combining a 1.5 TSI engine and six-speed DSG gearbox with an electric motor and an enlarged battery for up to 62 miles of pure electric running. Despite the bigger battery, the Kodiaq iV still offers a generous 745 litres of boot space.

More traditional engine options include a 150PS 1.5 TSI, a 204PS 2.0 TSI and two 2.0 TDI diesels offering 150 or 193PS. The top petrol and diesel engines come with all-wheel drive as standard, and all engines are mated with a DSG transmission.
